The Business Data Analyst will be tasked with supporting commerce business strategy, marketing initiatives, and data-driven decision-making to deliver on revenue, profit, and growth goals. A successful candidate will have:

The Commerce Business Strategy and Marketing team is a data-driven, strategic team that drives growth and operational excellence across People Inc.’s commerce portfolio, leveraging data and market analysis to scale revenue and support executive decision-making.
About The Positions Contributions:
Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results
40% Ad hoc analysis of recent and YoY trends and irregularities based on key KPIs.
20% Proactively analyze business KPIs and data pipelines to identify trends, make business recommendations, and ensure reporting accuracy.
20% Create presentations and present reports/findings to relevant stakeholders.
10% Create Data Studio/Looker reports and dashboards for use by various commerce teams
10% Perform market research and provide competitive analyses as needed.
Education: B.A./B.S. in business, finance, economics, marketing, statistics, or related fields preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, digital media strategy, corporate strategy, or data-driven commerce roles.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:
High attention to detail required.
Advanced proficiency in Excel required, including the ability to build advanced financial/data models, pivot tables, and data visualizations.
Experience with digital commerce metrics, web analytics tools, or data visualization software (e.g., Data Studio, Looker) highly preferred.
Proven quantitative analytical abilities and comfort translating data into executive-level strategic summaries.
Must enjoy & effectively build relationships with internal & external contacts.
Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally.
Positive attitude and ability to work under tight time restrictions.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Motivated self-starter with a collaborative and entrepreneurial spirit.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment, with multiple demands and shifting priorities.

Pay Range
Salary: New York: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
