Business Controller

In this role, you will serve as a finance business partner to business units and local managers within If’s Commercial Business Area in Denmark. As part of the Commercial Control unit, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization by acting as a strategic finance partner. Your responsibilities will be diverse, including ensuring reliability and availability, analyzing results, and effectively visualizing data. We are currently in the exciting initial phase of a large merger, where your support and guidance will be essential in steering and reporting the outcome.

About the Role

Join our dynamic team as a Business Controller and become an integral part of both the Commercial Denmark Central management team, the Commercial Denmark Sales & Service Management and Agriculture. In this role, you’ll work closely with the business, providing valuable insights by analyzing and linking financial results to business strategies. You’ll guide and challenge decisions, ensuring our strategies align with our financial goals.

Make a real impact by delivering forward-looking analysis and insights to predict trends, securing business performance, and maintaining financial stability. You’ll also manage key processes like monthly and quarterly business reviews, financial planning/forecasting, and competitor analysis, while participating in various exciting projects.

About the team

You will report to the Head of Business & Financial control in Commercial and be part of a Nordic team of highly skilled and talented controllers, where we share knowledge and ideas to continuously stay ahead and help each other succeed along the way.

Who are you?

You are an analytical person with a can-do attitude, you are curious to learn new things, self-motivated and can challenge yourself to grow. You are also a team player prioritizing the team spirit and having fun along the way. Additionally, we believe you should find the following list descriptive of who you are:

• Experience in the insurance industry (e.g., Sales and/or Insurance financials)

• Positive attitude towards a self-driven way of working

• Ability to translate data and analysis into solid insights and recommendations.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Knowledge and interest for MS Office and BI tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau and think-cell etc)

• You must be fluent in Danish & English  

• You have a relevant academic/university degree
