Job SummaryJob Description PurposeThis position is responsible for assisting with and supporting the governance, oversight, and consultation of business resiliency response capabilities; conducting business impact analyses and risk assessments; and facilitating exercises to strengthen program effectiveness and efficiency. The role also supports the development of HCSC third-party and subsidiary plans, as well as the assessment of third-party and subsidiary readiness through program evaluation. It relies on strategic experience and judgment to plan and accomplish resiliency goals.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide consultation for the development of business continuity, third-party, and subsidiary resiliency plans to ensure efficient and effective recovery from business disruptions.
• Initiate and implement exercises to ensure resiliency plans are viable. Facilitate lessons learned sessions to mitigate identified plan deficiencies and/or gaps.
• Initiate periodic reviews of resiliency plans with leadership to ensure alignment with current corporate priorities.
• Initiate annual BCP awareness activities and ensure management leads and plan teams are familiar with business continuity program activities.
• Conduct and facilitate Business Impact Analysis (BIA) sessions to confirm and/or validate critical process requirements and dependencies.
• Maintain current knowledge of business resiliency best practices and industry trends through conferences, workshops, and self-initiated training.
• Exercise business continuity plans with various operational and cross-functional teams.
• Lead projects and deliver efficient, outcome-based requirements and assignments.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and business resiliency program standards.
• Demonstrate experience with database management and reporting activities.
• Rely on strategic experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Perform a variety of tasks.
• Work under general supervision.
• Reports directly to the Sr. Manager of Business Resiliency.
Required Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of work experience in business resiliency, business continuity, information systems support, administration, risk management, project management, third-party/vendor management assessment, and disaster recovery.
- Knowledge of business continuity methods.
- Knowledge of healthcare and/or insurance industry operations.
- Knowledge of insurance operations.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) designation.
Preferred Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Organizational Management, Business Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
