About the Role

A unique opportunity is now available for an experienced and highly motivated Business Centre Manager to oversee the Business Centre operations in Lihir PNG. Reporting to the Service & Operations Manager, the focus of this role will provide leadership to the Lihir branch and continue to support and grow the business in this region. The roster will be 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotating roster. 

The key responsibilities of this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Provide day to day management of the Business Centre operations

  • Lead, coach and mentor employees to ensure a culture of high performance  

  • Drive a no harm safety culture with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Oversee the financial performance of the Business Centre

  • Monitor and analyse existing and potential opportunities and take appropriate actions to ensure market leadership

  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships to further enhance Hastings Deering reputation and success

About You

You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining, mining services or heavy earthmoving industries

  • Proven people management skills with the demonstrated ability to lead people to deliver results

  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to meet and exceed targets.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or relevant trade qualification

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial customer relationships

  • A high level commitment to safety and continuous improvement
