Job Summary

The Business Architect provides strategic direction by defining, optimising, and governing the business architecture required to deliver organisational value. The role ensures that business strategies are translated into executable designs across capabilities, value streams, processes, people structures, information, and technology.
The Business Architect acts as a strategic partner to business stakeholders, guiding investment prioritisation, shaping future strategic initiatives, and ensuring that business change is coherent, customer centric, and economically sound. The role enables early stage concepts that unlock tangible business value with a key focus on Salesforce.

Job Description

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

  • 5–8 years in Business Architecture, Strategic Business Analysis, or Operating Model Design

  • Salesforce certified application architect

  • Strong exposure to multi‑disciplinary architecture (business, data, platform, or solution)

  • Demonstrated experience in developing capability maps, operating models, and value stream designs

Preferred

  • Salesforce certifications (Administrator, Business Analyst, Platform App Builder)

  • Experience in banking, financial services, or platform-led digital transformation

Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:

Strategic Partner

  • Provide thought leadership on how platforms (especially Salesforce) enable strategic outcomes.

  • Translate platform strategy into business architecture artefacts, capability maps, and value stream improvements.

  • Support portfolio prioritisation and investment decisions by articulating business value, risk, and feasibility.

Salesforce‑Centric Business Architecture

  • Define how Salesforce supports target capabilities, business processes, and customer journeys.

  • Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify, and scale Salesforce use cases across business units.

  • Collaborate with Salesforce Product Owners to align business needs with platform features, roadmap, and governance.

Concept Development & Innovation

  • Lead the development of early‑stage business concepts, value propositions, and prototypes that test new platform-enabled opportunities.

  • Facilitate ideation sessions to shape business-led Salesforce solutions.

  • Convert abstract ideas into structured designs (value streams, capability impacts, personas, journeys).

Capability Management

  • Maintain and refine the capability map for Platforms, Salesforce, and supporting domains.

  • Conduct maturity assessments and recommend initiatives that uplift platform capabilities across the organisation.

Governance, Standards & Change Leadership

  • Establish architectural standards, playbooks, and reusable patterns for platform‑enabled change.

  • Provide business design assurance on projects involving Salesforce or platform modernisation.

  • Influence senior stakeholders to champion platform thinking and architectural discipline.

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Advisory

  • Act as trusted advisor to senior business leaders regarding operating model strategy, transformation impact, and capability optimisation.

  • Bridge communication between business, technology, data, and delivery teams to ensure shared understanding and alignment.

  • Communicate complex business architecture concepts in simple, outcome‑focused language.

Education

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Information Technology, Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Manufacturing, Engineering and Technology
