We are looking for a Business Analyst to review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs to recommend solutions that enable an organization to achieve its goals. This position will be full-time contract and hybrid.
What You’ll Do
Serve as a subject matter expert on the functionality of the state's primary reportable disease surveillance application
Identify data quality issues, develop solutions for data irregularities, implement corrections as appropriate, and communicate outcomes to Admin and HIT teams
Assist with strategic decisions on new systems (SBX, REDCap)
Create testing plans and documentation for testing and implementing new enhancements in CDRSS
Participate in monthly meetings with HIT team to share and explain reported bugs
Collaborate with DOH staff to optimize public health investigations
Train other CDRSS staff on processes needed for troubleshooting and diagnosing user issues and document these processes for internal reference
Utilize lessons learned from common Helpdesk requests to document changes that will help improve the system
Assist the CDRSS Manager with training new and existing users
Verify new user eligibility and grant access to the system based on user's public health role
Ensure user accounts and user groups are configured correctly so to protect PII and promote appropriate access in coordination with HIPAA laws
Work to promote data quality by updating medical facilities and other data elements in CDRSS, as needed
Offer technical assistance to external users in diverse public health roles (such as department program staff, clinical laboratories, healthcare system administrators, healthcare providers)
What You’ll Need
Required:
Helpdesk and customer service experience
Expert knowledge in utilizing REDCap and SBX
A complete understanding of HIPAA laws as it pertains to CDRSS and its user groups
Experience conducting Facilitated Workshops for requirements analysis
Experience creating workflows using formal notation such as the Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN)
Knowledge of formal requirements gathering methodologies
Experience developing business, functional, user (stakeholder), and quality-of-service (non-functional) requirements
Experience developing report specifications and Requirements Traceability Matrices
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$55 - $62 per hourThe pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
