Job Summary
Synechron is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Associate Business Analyst to support the analysis and documentation of organizational requirements. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop solutions that align with organizational goals. The Associate Business Analyst will contribute to project success by facilitating clear communication between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business needs are accurately captured and met. This role plays a vital part in enabling efficient operations and strategic decision-making across the organization.
Software Requirements
Required:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced level)
Familiarity with business analysis tools and process documentation software
Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, or similar platforms
Preferred:
Knowledge of Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Experience with business process modeling software (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart)
Overall Responsibilities
Support the collection, analysis, and documentation of business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process analysis.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current business processes, systems, and pain points; identify opportunities for improvement.
Assist in developing solutions, process flows, and functional specifications that address organizational needs.
Contribute to project planning activities, including defining scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
Prepare and deliver presentation materials and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
Work with technical teams to ensure the delivered solutions meet business requirements and facilitate effective implementation.
Monitor and evaluate process performance post-implementation to identify further enhancement opportunities.
Technical Skills (By Category)
Programming Languages: Not typically required for this role, but familiarity with SQL or scripting can be advantageous for data analysis or requirement validation.
Databases/Data Management: Basic understanding of data structures and familiarity with data management concepts.
Cloud Technologies: Not a primary requirement, but awareness of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
Frameworks and Libraries: Not applicable in this role.
Development Tools and Methodologies: Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies to support project execution.
Security Protocols: General understanding of data privacy and security principles relevant to requirements documentation.
Experience Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role supporting project delivery.
Proven experience in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into clear documentation.
Experience supporting digital transformation, process improvements, or system implementation projects is preferred.
Candidates with diverse backgrounds related to business operations, project coordination, or system analysis will be considered.
Day-to-Day Activities
Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather detailed business requirements.
Develop process maps, functional specifications, and user stories to communicate needs effectively.
Assist in creating project plans, tracking progress, and updating documentation as needed.
Present findings, solutions, and recommendations to stakeholders through reports and presentations.
Collaborate regularly in team meetings, sprint planning, and review sessions to ensure alignment and progress.
Support the testing and validation of solutions to confirm they meet specified requirements.
Continuously seek opportunities to optimize and improve business processes and workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA are advantageous.
Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
