Job Title

The Business Analyst will serve as a crucial link between stakeholders and the technical teams, focusing specifically on enhancing payment processes and systems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in the payments industry to gather and analyze business requirements, develop process models, and propose innovative solutions that drive efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, you will manage small projects, including data migrations and merchant facility migrations, ensuring that all initiatives align with business objectives and regulatory standards. Your analytical skills, combined with your understanding of payment mechanisms, will enable you to provide actionable insights that contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements, particularly in the payments industry.
• Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions, with a focus on payment processes and performance metrics.
• Business Process Modeling: Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states, emphasizing payment workflows.
• Solution Design: Propose and design technical and process solutions related to payments that meet business needs and objectives.
• Project Management: Manage small projects, including data migrations and merchant facility migrations, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Implementation Coordination: Work with IT and other departments to implement solutions, ensuring they integrate smoothly with existing payment systems.
• Communication: Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and executives, facilitating transparency and engagement.
• Documentation: Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions, particularly for payment-related initiatives.
• Testing and Validation: Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes, ensuring they meet business and regulatory requirements within the payments framework.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within payment operations and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a fintech, SaaS, or payment technology environment.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing small projects, especially related to data and merchant facility migrations.
• Knowledge of business process modeling and documentation tools.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools applicable to payment solutions.
