The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Platforms, Data & AI – this role will be part of a team of AI specialists, supporting our business needs. Recent business bachelor's degree graduates (or similar) and those with limited work experience are eligible for this opportunity.
Our Platforms, Data & AI team is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver in Calgary to support our AI Services program.
We are seeking an inquisitive Business Analyst who is a strong communicator and capable of reliably completing tasks. This individual has the proven ability to think innovatively, problem solve effectively, and train others.
What you'll do
- Manage small-scale AI projects from ideation through implementation
- Support our organizational Hub & Spoke operating model by coordinating between central teams and business units
- Develop and deliver compelling communication materials for leadership presentations
- Organize and facilitate innovation community activities and events
- Drive engagement across various innovation communities and networks
- Track progress and measure success of innovation initiatives
- Identify opportunities for process improvement through AI and technology
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance digital transformation efforts
Minimum Qualifications
- Business bachelor's degree (or similar certification)
- High competency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Up to three years of professional discipline-related work experience, not including co-op or internship work term
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and applications in business
- Foundational project management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Power Automate
- Knowledgeable of the oil and gas industry
- Experience with AI-powered analytics tools
- Project management certification or equivalent experience
- Experience preparing business communications and presentations
