The Claims Product Services Business Analysts is a primary interface between the IT teams and our business partners. They are responsible for understanding current processes and identifying well-formed outcomes for future business systems and processes, which may include the entire enterprise. They gather and document business needs and requirements, evaluate options, assist with generating business cases and ensure the effective use of information systems in meeting the needs of the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Acts as a team member to ensure project continues to align with project charter and business cases.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders at all levels, in the conduct of investigations for strategy studies, business requirements specifications and feasibility studies.
  • Contributes to the investigative work and creation of the technical solutions.
  • Defines and manages scoping, requirements definition and prioritization activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity.
  • Develops test scenarios and test cases for use in system and integration testing.
  • Ensures test results are documented, reported to stakeholders, along with any risks or issues, and are available for specification of user instructions.
  • Occasionally required to work late evening and weekends as needed.
  • Selects appropriate business analysis methods from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
  • Specifies and develops test scenarios to test that new/updated processes deliver planned efficiencies and business benefits.

What we're looking for:

  • 2+ years of claims operational support, project management and/or experience in IT delivery/implementation preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of claims and/or insurance related systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a business-friendly manner
  • Ability to manage multiple and multi-faceted stakeholders
  • Solution-oriented, creative thinker
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and drive results
  • Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • Highly ethical, professional, and trustworthy, with a commitment to compliance and integrity

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Pay information:

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The salary for the position is $60,300 to $100,500 with a 12% bonus potential.
