Reporting to the Operations Leadership team, the Business Analyst I supports the operations team by gathering and analyzing data, documenting business requirements, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
This entry-level role collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into actionable solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and overall performance within the New Jersey FamilyCare Managed Care Program.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with cross-functional teams, including Operations, IT, QA, and Training, to support business initiatives and system enhancements
Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that system changes align with business requirements
Create and maintain documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), workflows, and process maps
Monitor and report on project progress, including tracking risks, issues, and dependencies
Coordinate with internal teams to support timely resolution of escalations
Assist in analyzing current business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization
Develop a working knowledge of organizational operations, workflows, and applicable policies and regulations related to the NJ FamilyCare Managed Care Program
Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
Perform other duties as assigned
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
Ability to learn and perform technical tasks in a systems-driven environment
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM ET or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM ET
Ability to work overtime

Familiarity with ticketing systems, workflow tools, or issue-tracking platforms

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated hourly rate for this role is $25.25 - $32.79.
