Role Description
You will be joining the Design & Analysis team within Credit Risk Change. The team has subject matter experts, business architects, business analysts and data analysts working together on strategic and regulatory change initiatives for the global Credit Risk Management function, part of CRO.
The role is required to work as a business/data analyst on business process and controls, data analysis and functional analysis across credit processes, operating model, workflows, core credit data, reference data, analytics, reporting.
With the acceleration of AI technology, the team are also responsible for designing AI solutions to solve complex business problems, analyze large datasets and automate manual processes.

Your key responsibilities
Business and functional analysis including:
Management of complex analysis in line with the assigned tasks
Process analysis and design for core credit processes and controls.
Data analysis: investigation of data in core credit systems and in source systems, analysis of data issues, root cause analysis, definition of data requirements both business and functional, ensuring alignment with bank data standards.

Knowledge, skills and experience
Knowledge of credit risk in terms of credit workflows for ratings, limit setting, reporting and distressed processes (advantage).
Knowledge of credit relevant data including: exposure, limits, ratings, risk mitigants, risk metrics, hierarchies, party reference data
Good understanding of data processes and controls
Strong business and functional analysis skills
Strong Excel and/or Access skills for analysis of data sets
Use of SQL (important) and Python (advantage)
Experience with Confluence and JIRA
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

Skills Required
- University degree in Business Administration, Technology, Engineering (or comparable qualification)
- 6-8 years of combined professional experience in the financial industry
- Deep subject matter expertise in credit risk functions, including end-to-end credit lifecycle processes and regulatory frameworks
- Experience as a business analyst or similar role driving technology-driven change
- Hands-on experience translating complex business requirements into technical specifications and developing/refining prompts for AI/generative AI systems
- Direct experience with AI, machine learning, or large language model (LLM) implementation projects
- Proven project management experience supporting or managing complex, large-scale projects, preferably using Agile methodologies
- Experience in business adoption and navigating regulatory approval processes for new technologies or systems
- Trained on Model Risk Management (MoRM) principles with experience documenting workflows for validation and testing
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills; ability to analyse diverse data sources, manipulate large datasets, and validate AI-generated results
- Excellent English written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
