Business Analyst, Advanced

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Business Analyst, Advanced for our client located in Tallahassee, FL.

This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL, and requires in-person availability starting day 1. 

Job Overview:

1. Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
2. Analyzes business unit operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
3. Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new.
4. Translates high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of three (3) years of relevant technical or business work experience.
• Experience serving as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
• Experience analyzing business unit operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
• Experience assisting in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
• Experience translating high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and managing changes to such specifications.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills. (Proficient in English)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with a legacy mainframe applications.
• Experience working with the FLAIR (Florida Accounting Information Resource) system and its subsystems.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or five (5) years equivalent work experience.
