As the Senior Manager of Business Analysis at Optasia, your primary objective is to lead the business analysis and the campaign management team. The objective is to provide business analytics and insights, root cause analysis and recommendations for improvement to support the organization objectives. You will also focus to standardize and automate insights and reporting while empowering managers and users with the insights and reporting. Your role will also be to support the COO and the Director of People Operations to develop and manage both organizational and people objectives to ensure accountability across the organization. The role is reporting to Chief Operations Officer.
What you will do
- Responsible for detailed Revenue financial analyses and business modelling, budgeting, rolling forecasting and development of long term 3-5 years business models in alignment with Finance
- Monitor revenue performance and analyses versus budget and forecasts
- Ensure operational performance continuously meets full technical and data criteria to secure service revenues and recoveries are always at optimum performance
- Implement analytical approaches and methodologies for financial service monitoring and service detailed segments, such as enhancements, channels, campaigning, etc.
- Interpretation of analytical results and related KPI’s, translate these into initiatives and/or recommendations for revenue/business improvements
- Presents reports to management for decision making and strategic planning
- Compare financial performances of all services deployed by the company and establish KPI’s/benchmarks
- Management and reporting on operational KPI’s and OKR’s on a Monthly, Quarterly and Annual basis.
- Collect and analyze external market data to provide benchmarks and business insights for comparison/improvement purposes
- Continuously monitor the services’ financial performances and identify risks and underperformances in the early stages of trend changes
- Monitor data integrity and initiate data-validation sessions, ensuring our services can run with optimized and best possible profiling/scoring models
- Provide data analyses and KPI’s on subscriber behavior and initiatives to influence and improve adoptions through campaigns and/or customer journey reviews
- Providing business insights and roadmaps to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts and profitability. Develop required internal processes and frameworks in order to provide Exco monthly reports.
- Evaluate business cases to support new investment, strategic and other business decisions.
- Automation and standardization of metrics, KPI’s and reporting to ensure single source of truth while empowering managers and users.
What you will bring
The successful candidate comes with a very strong analytical and financial background, is highly detail-oriented, an effective communicator and strong managerial competence and experience. Some of the skills and attributes that are key for this role include:
- Bachelor’s degree qualified in Finance / Commerce / Business economics with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field
- Strong quantitative abilities including the ability to solve complex problems
- Advanced knowledge of financial modelling and business architecture
- Strong leadership- and management skills, getting the best out of his/her team-members and establish relationships with key stakeholders, across all departments
- Strong analytical background, with excellent attention for details
- Pro-activeness, has ownership and is results orientated
- Flexible attitude, customer focused on terms of understanding business requirements and drivers, to translate these into mutual benefits
- Ability to effectively communicate accounting concepts to non-finance staff including Sales, Marketing and Operations
- Competence to set strategic mid-term objectives based upon obtained business intelligence
- Advanced computer software skills, including Excel, data processing and big data analytics, plus other analytical tools, such as dashboard tools Qlik, Tableau and/or Power-BI or other relevant tools
