The Business Analysis Internship is designed to provide a hands-on learning experience for individuals interested in pursuing a career in business analysis within the insurance industry. The intern will collaborate with business users to understand, document, and improve departmental processes, support various projects, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Organization. This internship will likely directly support post go-live initiatives of our new Policy/Admin system. 

  • Collaborate with business users to document existing processes, workflows, and procedures. Create detailed process maps, flowcharts, and written documentation to capture key steps and stakeholders.
  • Identify areas of improvement and inefficiency within the business processes. Analyze data and feedback from stakeholders to pinpoint pain points and bottlenecks.
  • Assist in gathering project requirements by conducting interviews, surveys, and workshops with business users. Document functional and non-functional requirements to support project planning.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to develop solution proposals for process improvements. Help define business requirements for potential software solutions or process changes.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of post go live projects related to process changes. Work closely with project managers to track progress, manage timelines, and ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Maintain open communication channels with business users, project teams, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, requirements, and recommendations.
  • Ensure that all process documentation and project-related materials are kept up-to-date. Implement version control and documentation best practices.

Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing an associate degree or above. 
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Familiarity with business analysis tools and techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organization.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
