Salary: £10 per hour, increases to NMW after 12 month

Working hours: Monday to Friday (Shifts TBC), 37.5 hours per week

Apprenticeship Details - 16 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Level 3 School Administration Qualification. (All learning is delivered online/ remote).

As a School Administrator you will support with the smooth and efficient running of the school office by providing high-quality administrative and general support to staff, pupils, parents, and visitors. This apprenticeship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a busy school environment. Your day to day duties will include:

The role will involve working alongside the office and inclusion team completing tasks to support with administration, for example:

  • Undertake receptionist duties
  • Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries as needed
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Scan and save documents in appropriate areas
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing documents, updating spreadsheets, and organising files, both electronically and in hard copy
  • Place orders and book courses
  • Manage diaries and calendars
  • Circulate communications as required
  • Manage lost property

Desired skills and Personal Attributes:

  • Experience in a customer-facing role
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
  • Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
  • Awareness of the importance of confidentiality
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
