We are seeking an experienced and visionary professional to join our team as a Product Development and Market Strategy Expert. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for understanding customer needs and evaluating market competition to guide the evolution of our product lines. You will review product specifications, assess new product ideas, and recommend enhancements to existing products and packaging. By conducting thorough analyses of proposed product requirements and development programs, you will bring innovative products to market, ensuring they meet strategic goals and deliver substantial returns on investment. Your role will also involve creating and executing integrated launch plans in collaboration with sales, advertising, and production teams, as well as establishing product pricing to optimize market performance.
We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remote.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Evaluate and identify customer needs and industry competition to drive product innovation and competitiveness.
- Review and enhance product specifications and requirements, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer expectations.
- Appraise new product ideas and recommend modifications to existing products and packaging.
- Conduct return-on-investment analyses for new product developments and establish timelines with engineering and manufacturing teams to facilitate timely launches.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for product introductions in collaboration with sales, advertising, and production departments.
- Determine optimal product pricing and oversee operational requirements to ensure market success.
- Apply specialized theoretical knowledge and expertise to achieve business goals through independent contributions and collaborative efforts.
- Provide guidance and leadership as a project manager, leveraging technical proficiency.
- Serve as a recognized expert within the company, offering valuable insights and guidance.
- Anticipate internal and external business challenges and regulatory issues; propose improvements for processes, products, or services. -
- Solve complex problems with significant business implications, utilizing innovative approaches. -
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies at the functional level.
