This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of broadcast technology, collaborating with engineering teams and customers to ensure optimal system performance and rapid issue resolution.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site visits to customer locations for service, support, and system validation
- Manage the operation of different events and demonstrations for Evertz product lines
- Support flexible shift schedules to ensure round-the-clock operational coverage
- Perform system testing, including functionality, configuration, scalability, and security validation
- Provide Tier-2/Tier-3 support, gathering information from customers, creating and tracking Jira tickets, and driving root-cause analysis through to resolution
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues arising from in-house and customer system testing
- Collaborate closely with development teams to resolve complex, high-impact customer issues
- Build and maintain Bash/Python automation scripts for system operations and testing
- Produce clear technical documentation, including patch upgrades and fix reports
- Lead system-level regression testing, comparing pre- and post-upgrade performance
- Support remote customer systems, including upgrades, troubleshooting, and rollback procedures
- Ensure compliance with all Evertz policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as required
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field
- 4–7 years of experience in broadcast engineering, system support, or technical operations
- Solid understanding of broadcast workflows, video streaming, and media systems
- Hands-on experience with functional, regression, configuration, and performance testing
- Proven track record in Tier-2/Tier-3 support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and core networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
- Experience with Jira or similar tools for issue tracking and management
- Working knowledge of Bash/Python for automation and system operations
- Experience supporting customer-facing or production systems
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and travel for on-site customer engagements
- Good communication and documentation skills
