We are building a next‑generation benchmark to evaluate how well AI systems handle complex, real‑world questions in Brazilian Portuguese. This project will help improve how AI delivers accurate, reliable, and context‑aware responses for the Brazilian market.
We are seeking Brazilian Portuguese Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Animals & Pets to create high‑quality, expert‑level question‑and‑answer content. This role goes beyond basic data labeling and requires deep domain knowledge, critical thinking, and strong writing skills to test advanced reasoning and contextual understanding in Brazilian Portuguese.
Suitable backgrounds may include veterinary experts: licensed veterinarians, surgeons, or senior technicians in clinical practice, pathology, or pharmacology; behaviorists & ethologists: specialists in animal cognition, ethology, and advanced behavioral modification; wildlife & marine biologists: researchers and conservationists focused on Brazilian biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems; animal scientists: professionals in animal physiology, genetics, or expert-level nutrition and diet formulation; welfare & legal specialists: animal rights lawyers, policy advisors, or directors of large-scale rescue organizations; husbandry specialists: senior breed experts, master groomers, or professional breeders with deep anatomical knowledge; academic communicators: Specialized journalists or educators in veterinary science and wildlife conservation.

- Location: Brazil (Remote) - Open to candidates in Curitiba, Porto Alegre, Florianópolis, Belo Horizonte, Campinas, Vitória, Goiânia, Recife, Fortaleza, Natal, João Pessoa, Maceió, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasília, including but not limited to
- Work Schedule: Part-time (10+ hours per week), fully flexible
- Rate: 26,40 USD/hour
- Start Date: Mid-June
- Duration: Approx. 2 months
Key Responsibilities
- Develop advanced, open-ended questions grounded in realistic, real-world scenarios related to veterinary medicine, animal behavior, nutrition, and the specific conservation challenges or legal frameworks unique to the Brazilian market
- Provide in-depth, accurate, and well-structured answers supported by strong domain knowledge
- Incorporate Brazil-specific cultural, social, and regulatory context where relevant
- Design content that requires critical thinking, nuance, and multi-step reasoning
- Ensure clarity, precision, and consistently high writing quality in Brazilian Portuguese
- Follow detailed project guidelines and meet agreed timelines and quality standards
Requirements
- Native or fluent proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese (pt-BR)
- PhD in a relevant field (required)
- 5–10+ years of professional experience in a relevant field
- Demonstrated expertise through academic background and/or industry experience
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, structured manner
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality output in a guideline-driven environment
- Experience with content creation, research, education, or knowledge evaluation
- Familiarity with AI training, data annotation, or evaluation projects
- Background in interdisciplinary work (e.g. zoology and ethics, veterinary science, animal welfare policy, environmental studies, human–animal interaction)
