Job Description
Trek is looking for a Brand Manager to help shape and execute the next chapter of Trek’s brand storytelling across campaigns, launches, editorial initiatives, and special projects.
At its core, this is a writing role.
The ideal candidate is a storyteller first — someone who can find the emotional center of a story and translate complex ideas into compelling, human communication. This person will be responsible for developing and writing both short- and long-form content across a wide range of brand initiatives, from campaign messaging and product launches to heritage storytelling, films, presentations, editorial features, and special projects.
Beyond writing, the Brand Manager will be a creative partner to the Brand Director, helping to guide the planning, execution, and integration of major brand initiatives, ensuring Trek’s stories are strategically aligned and consistently executed across channels.
This role reports to the Brand Director and works closely with the Social Strategy Manager, Creative Design team, Product Marketing, Race Shop, Digital Marketing Lab, and other cross-functional partners to bring Trek’s brand to life through meaningful storytelling.

- Write and edit a wide range of content including:
- Campaign messaging and ads
- Product launch storytelling
- Brand films and video scripts
- Website and digital content
- Long-form storytelling initiatives
- Partner with designers, athletes, engineers, retailers, advocates, and company leaders to uncover and develop stories that might otherwise go untold.
Brand strategy, campaigns, and special projects (40%)
- Help develop and evolve Trek’s overarching brand narrative and storytelling strategy.
- Provide writing, editorial support, editing, and feedback across departments as needed.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen Trek’s emotional positioning and cultural relevance through storytelling.
- Contribute to annual editorial planning and long-term storytelling priorities.
- Help shape campaign concepts, messaging frameworks, and audience-facing communications.
Editorial leadership (10%)
- Help maintain Trek’s voice, tone, and storytelling standards across channels.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Trek’s editorial processes and storytelling systems.
- Champion high-quality writing and thoughtful storytelling throughout the organization.

- Strong researcher and narrative thinker.
- Experience developing brand campaigns, editorial content, scripts, presentations, and storytelling frameworks.
- Deep understanding of how stories create emotional connection and strengthen brands.
- Able to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and hands-on writing.
- Highly organized and capable of managing complex projects without losing creative quality.
- Deep appreciation for cycling culture, performance sport, craftsmanship, innovation, and human stories.
- Strong editorial judgment, curiosity, and attention to detail.
