THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

Santander Bank is looking for a Brand Strategist based out of Boadilla del Monte.

The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional marketing teams—including Metrics & Insights, Advertising & Content, Customer Experience and Sponsorships—to translate consumer insights and brand performance indicators into strategic recommendations and action plans. In parallel, the role ensures that campaigns, content, and partnerships are aligned with the brand strategy and effectively contribute to building brand equity and driving business results.

  • Translate consumer research, brand performance data, market intelligence, and business objectives into clear brand implications, strategic choices, and actionable brand-building plans.

  • Define brand positioning, value propositions, and messaging frameworks.

  • Partner closely with the Metrics & Insights team to interpret consumer research, brand tracking, segmentation, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and brand health indicators.

  • Leverage insights to develop strategic recommendations and action plans that strengthen brand equity improve market relevance, and increase the impact of brand-building investments.

  • Support integrated brand-building initiatives across key levers, including:

    • Product and service innovation

    • Customer experience

    • Content and storytelling

    • Advertising and media strategy

    • Sponsorships and partnerships

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, design, and communications teams to to translate brand strategy into distinctive and consistent execution.

  • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints and channels.

  • Present strategic recommendations clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 10–12 years of experience in brand strategy, insight-led strategy, marketing strategy, strategic consulting, or a related discipline. (Required)

  • Proven track record of shaping, repositioning, growing, or transforming brands at scale. (Required)

  • Experience in banking or financial institutions is a strong plus. (Preferred)

  • Experience advising senior stakeholders and presenting strategic recommendations to executive audiences. (Required)

  • Experience working with brand tracking tools and consumer research outputs (in collaboration with specialized teams). (Required)

  • Experience leveraging multiple brand-building levers (content, advertising, sponsorships, product, and experience). (Required)

  • Experience defining brand positioning, value propositions, messaging frameworks, strategic narratives, and brand-building plans. (Required)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field. (Required)

  • Master’s degree. (Preferred)

Languages

  • Strong command of English (written and spoken). (Required)

  • Strong command of Spanish (written and spoken). (Required)

  • Strong research and analytical background, with the ability to synthesize complex data into insights and strategic recommendations. (Required)
