HOW YOU WILL DO IT

Purpose Statement: The Brand Designer II will inspire, design, execute and champion creative that consistently builds the vision expression of the brand through the Plexus global design system. This role reports to the Senior Global Brand Manager to ensure consistent delivery against our strategic brand foundations. In close collaboration with the Brand Experience Leaders, this role will be accountable to inspire the design direction and execute the creative outputs across brand activations in service to delivering the business’s growth objectives. Ultimately, this individual will have an opportunity to help build a global, total brand experience that showcases Plexus as a top of mind, innovative brand via compelling creative that connects with various target audiences (customers, employees/communities, suppliers).

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Strategic Brand Foundations: In partnership with the Sr. Brand Manager, design and deliver creative that is aligned to the global brand profile, brand design system and architecture, and develop strong creative standards to ensure a cohesive visual identity of the global Plexus brand. Update and enforce visual style guides to enable scale and global creative consistency.
  • Creative & Design Execution: Support the Sr. Brand Manager, Brand Experience Leaders and other strategically identified stakeholders, by leading concepts and creating exceptional design outputs that deliver to both the global brand design system and business objectives briefed in order to build a visually cohesive total brand experience. This includes, but is not limited to: sales collateral, social media, website visual story-telling, brand ideas/campaigns, site/tour total brand experience messaging, talent acquisition materials, promotional products, etc. that will be used through a variety of outlets such as print, digital media and interactive graphics.
  • Creative Asset Management: Strong working knowledge to lead, manage and update global Plexus' collateral, printed graphics and image library, ensuring all assets clearly and effectively express Plexus' brand. When required, help lead the selection and management of Plexus' promotional items vendor to enable self-service access across the organization.
  • Collaboration & Culture: Through the use of compelling creative and design, build a culture of high collaboration and lead exceptional creative pitches that are rooted in delivering upon the brand strategic foundations as a means to help energize the organization.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required in graphic design, fine arts, or related field. A Master’s degree in business, fine arts, or marketing is desirable.
  • Five (5) year of creative experience is required, with proven portfolio of business-to-business brand design, digital and customer experience executions.
  • Strong expertise with Adobe Creative Suite, office tools, as well as various other design and audio visual programs, with the ability to train others where needed.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to assist, and at times lead, the brand design system development and execution of key initiatives in support of brand goals. Must apply creative style guides to uphold brand identity.
  • Strong creative, organizational, and problem solving skills, with proven ability to elevate creative solutions while having a critical eye for detail and consistency.
  • Demonstrated success in managing projects from concept through execution in support of business growth objectives, and delivers to tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge in graphic production process, with ability to support prep for photo shoots and videography, as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively conduct compelling creative pitches that influence senior-level decision makers.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment, and follow through with limited supervision.
