Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive tax compliance activities with the R2R team, managing INE, COPE, and VAT recovery

  • Collaborate with BPA team to optimize planning and controlling processes

  • Ensure precise cost recognition and FTE allocation within IM division

  • Deliver insightful ad-hoc management reports to key business partners

  • Spearhead AI enhancements and data consistency in Genie application

  • Proactively engage with NOCC teams on tax and statutory matters

  • Provide responsive support to local teams, addressing queries efficiently

  • Champion productivity improvements and process innovations for maximum effectiveness

Essential requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Business-level proficiency in English; Dutch language skills highly advantageous

  • Proven expertise in local GAAP and Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM)

  • Strong track record in fostering a robust control environment

  • Demonstrated ability to implement and document clear financial processes

  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and local statutory accounting principles

  • Excellent collaboration skills, particularly in cross-functional environments

  • Results-driven mindset aligned with Novartis values and behaviors
