A Day in the Life<Position Title> Commercial Marketing Manager (S&R @ Tokyo)

<Main Responsibilities>
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This role will:
Own the Japan service marketing strategy and play a pivotal partner role to define market competitive service commercial offerings for the OUs and regions.
Analyze and benchmark service market landscapes and define strategic commercial imperatives to ensure Medtronic Service can compete and drive incremental revenue for the business.
Co-own the digital marketing, communications, and web presence strategy for Medtronic Service globally.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for developing the Japan Service marketing and communications plan which aims to build a commercially profitable and growing S&R business.
This function will develop commercial service offerings for Medtronic capital equipment with clear value propositions and pricing strategy.
Management strategy and oversight
Define the strategic and tactical service marketing direction across all OUs with service commercial relevancy. Development of competitive service commercial offerings. Plan and execute service marketing and communications budget annually.
Strategic competitive market insight
Provide strategic service market insight (VOC, market research, consultants) enabling focused commercial initiatives to grow revenue.
Service sales enablement.
Lead the service sales enablement and engagement strategy for Japan (service sales training, field/sales incentives) – “make it easy to sell service.”
Service presence and communications.
Help deploy and lead global service branding, communications, promotions and web presence strategy including conferences, roadshows, etc.
Support commercial service readiness for new product introductions (NPI)
Ensure timely availability of the service marketing materials and sales tools to maximize service growth
Ensure effective stakeholder engagement across Operating Units (OUs) and countries in the region
<Must Haves>
EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERINCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to build strong partnerships and influence at senior levels to change behavior and mindset regarding the service commercial business.
Strategic mindset to anticipate any service market need shifts to prepare the business in advance.
Deep understanding of market mix and ability to leverage all elements to enable growth and increase market share (marketing business acumen).
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels across all functions of the organization and customers.
Ability to work extensively with remote teams.

Ability and experience to work with diverse markets (emerging, mature, direct, indirect).

<Working Style>
Hybrid work arrangement (2 to 3 days per week working from home available).
Occasional domestic and international travel is required for the role, including approximately four international business trips per year.
