As we expand, we're looking for a rockstar Bookkeeping & Payroll Specialist to join our great team! Assisting in improving and optimising the accounts process. You will support the daily operations, contribute to the month-end, lead payroll end-to-end, and work closely with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Bookkeeping: Manage AP processes, including vendor relations, bank reconciliations, payments, and credit card management
- Financial Integrity: Manage prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
- Closing Cycles: Play a key role in monthly and period-end closings
- Payroll Lifecycle: Lead employee onboarding and offboarding financial processes, including Form 161 and release documents
- Payroll Operations: Manage attendance reports, prepare monthly payroll data, and ensure accurate posting of payroll journal entries and related accruals
- Employee Experience: Oversee employee expenses, business travel reports, and benefits (Cibus)
- Benefits Tracking: Monitor vacation, sick leave balances, and handle Miluim-related settlements and claims
- Ad-hoc Support: Assist the finance team with special projects and daily operational needs
- Certified Bookkeeper (Level 2/3) and Certified Payroll – Required
- 3-4 years of proven experience in bookkeeping – Required
- Proficiency in Priority (ERP)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- A self-starter who can take full ownership of tasks from start to finish
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in a data-driven environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic office
Skills Required
- Certified Bookkeeper (Level 2/3) and Certified Payroll
- 3-4 years of proven experience in bookkeeping
- Proficiency in Priority (ERP)
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
- Experience managing accounts payable, vendor relations, bank reconciliations, payments, and credit card management
- Experience managing prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules
- Experience participating in monthly and period-end closings
- Payroll lifecycle experience including onboarding/offboarding financial processes, payroll data preparation, payroll journal entries and related accruals
- Experience overseeing employee expenses, business travel reports, benefits (Cibus), vacation/sick leave balances, and Miluim-related settlements
- Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
