About the Job
CatFace is seeking a talented and dynamic Body Actor – Character Performance Specialist to bring our digital characters to life. This role involves performing as a body double for our lead actors while they focus on other creative tasks. Your facial features and voice will not appear in the final product; instead, your movements and overall performance will serve as a reference to enhance character authenticity in our productions.
This is a fantastic opportunity for performers with strong acting skills, comedic timing, and a deep understanding of character movement within video game environments. Characters being played day to day will change creating a fun challenge to bring the overall performance something new and fresh while mimicking the characters styles, mannerisms and speaking habits.
What You'll Do
- Shadow led actors to learn and replicate there:
- Physical movements
- Emotional expressions
- Reactions within a virtual gaming environment
- Comedic timing and body language
- Usage of in-game tools and techniques
- Perform as various characters while filming to ensure consistency with established brand and character standards.
- Adapt your performance style to match different characters and scenarios.
- Utilize cinematic awareness when operating within a virtual filming environment.
- Collaborate closely with directors, voice actors, and other production team members to maintain performance quality.
- Accept and incorporate feedback to refine and enhance character portrayals.
What We're Looking For
- Strong improvisation and acting skills with the ability to embody a variety of characters.
- Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying tasks and maintaining productivity.
- Ability to adapt performances to align with brand-specific character guidelines.
- Proficiency in video games such as Minecraft and Roblox.
- Experience in character performance, particularly within virtual gaming environments.
- Technical proficiency in using recording software and in-game filming tools.
- Ability to take and apply constructive feedback professionally.
- A performance reel (live-action or virtual) is required for consideration (bonus points for game commentary performance reels).
- Flexibility to be available on weekends for support if needed.
