Description:
The Board shall regulate the practice of funeral directors.
Commission membership:
Of the 5 members on the Board, 4 shall be funeral directors licensed in the District and one shall be a consumer member.
Qualifications:
Individuals with professional and life experience as a licensed funeral director in the District.
Time commitment:
The Board meets on the first Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m. ; subcommittees meet as required to complete tasks.

What We Do
The Commemorative Works Committee acts in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and Council, developing criteria for commemorative works in public spaces and evaluating their social and cultural merit.
