Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled BMC Remedy Developer to join our dynamic team on a remote basis. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining BMC Remedy applications and must currently hold at least a Secret Clearance. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Development and Customization:

   • Design, develop, and customize BMC Remedy applications to meet business requirements.
   • Implement new features and enhancements based on user needs and organizational goals.
   • Integrate BMC Remedy with other systems and applications as required.

2. Administration and Maintenance:

   • Perform regular system maintenance, including patching and upgrades.
   • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
   • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions within the BMC Remedy system.

3. Documentation and Training:

   • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all customizations and configurations.
   • Provide training and support to end-users and other team members as needed.

4. Compliance and Security:

   • Ensure all development and maintenance activities adhere to security protocols and compliance requirements.
   • Maintain and protect sensitive information in accordance with clearance level and organizational policies.

5. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
   • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to project planning and status updates.

Qualifications:

• Security Clearance: Must hold at least a Secret Clearance.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in BMC Remedy development and administration.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in BMC Remedy AR System, BMC Remedy ITSM Suite, and related tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, and web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Experience with system integrations and data migrations.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional BMC products such as BMC Digital Workplace, BMC Helix, or BMC Smart IT.
• ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certification or higher.
