This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of artificial intelligence at Citi, working on a central core GenAI platform that will empower innovative solutions across the entire bank.
Responsibilities
- Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of GenAI functions to meet organizational goals, identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new GenAI products and process improvements.
- Lead the development and maintenance of core GenAI platforms and services, and a suite of supporting services to ensure seamless operation, scalability, and integration of GenAI capabilities across various Citi business units.
- Resolve a variety of high-impact problems and lead projects through in-depth evaluation of complex GenAI business processes, system architecture, and industry standards, driving innovative solutions.
- Provide expert guidance and advanced knowledge in GenAI applications programming, ensuring that platform design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint and best practices for generative models.
- Utilize advanced understanding of system flow, developing and enforcing standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation specific to enterprise-grade GenAI solutions.
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how various areas of business, architecture, and infrastructure integrate to accomplish GenAI business goals, fostering a holistic view of the GenAI ecosystem at Citi.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts specializing in GenAI technologies, effectively allocating work and fostering skill development.
- Appropriately assess risk when GenAI business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. This includes driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency, especially concerning AI ethics, data governance, and responsible AI usage.
Skills & Qualification
- 6+ years of relevant experience in GenAI engineering, with a strong focus on developing and implementing scalable platforms for AI-driven applications and systems.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
- Proven understanding of Generative AI systems and AIOps.
- Ability to navigate and ensure compliance within complex regulatory landscapes.
- Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
