Are you the person we are looking for? 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manager to join our Brand and Digital team within the Marketing Department of QNX. The ideal candidate will oversee and drive our social media strategy across various channels, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement. This role involves creating and managing a comprehensive social media calendar, coordinating content production, and analyzing performance to increase brand awareness and traffic to our brand page.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Social Media Strategy and Management:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media and communication strategy across channels. X, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Reddit for both paid and organic reach. Expertise in managing social accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, or TikTok is welcome; however, we are not planning to expand our social media activities to these networks.
    • Experience in managing B2B social accounts from the automotive software development industry, especially in the embedded software and automotive sectors, would be preferred.
    • Create a monthly social media calendar to coordinate content across different teams, including QNX Product Marketing and PR.
    • Work closely with designers to create impactful social media content and coordinate with external agencies for content production.
    • Being an experienced Community manager who always keep an eye on the followers to be supportive or chose the right de-escalation strategy if necessary.​

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze social media performance to measure effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reporting metrics to track channel growth, brand awareness, and traffic enhancements.
  • Content Development:
    • Generate engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with our brand’s voice and objectives.
    • Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to produce content that reflects the innovative nature of our products and services.
  • Campaign and Vendor Management:
    • Manage occasional paid digital media campaigns, ensuring they align with our overall marketing goals.
    • Liaise with social media platforms and external partners to optimize our social media presence.
    • Independent planning and managing budgets for paid media campaign

Innovation & Industry Trends:

  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends, and digital tools and best practices to bring innovative ideas to the team.
  • Proactively suggest new ways to enhance the company’s social presence.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, PR, and external vendors, to ensure successful project execution.

You will have:

  • Proven experience managing social media channels for B2B companies, preferably in the software and technology sectors.
  • Strong command of English with excellent communication, writing, and editorial skills.
  • Experience with social media management and reporting tools, for both paid and organic content.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar CMS is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to develop targeted strategies and personalize social media campaigns.
  • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and their application in creating user-centered social media content.
  • Being experienced in using “Sprout Social” or other social media management platforms.
  • Basic Adobe Cloud skills, and experience in utilising Gen-AI tools like Midjourney skills are welcome
