Are you the person we are looking for?

We are seeking a Product Management Director to lead the definition and management of our new, next generation cloud enabled products.

 

In this new role, you will lead a cloud product management team and work with your product management colleagues to help define and execute our strategic BlackBerry QNX cloud enablement roadmap to complement our suite of foundation edge products in the automotive and general embedded markets. Cloud enablement of our products is a key pillar of our strategic roadmap, and this role is a tremendous opportunity to build something great.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong and successful leadership experience including a cloud product management background as well as proven technical, business, and organizational skills. The ability to articulate and manage at the conceptual level as well as to dive deep into the solution details when required are important success factors for this role. You will:

  • Own the full lifecycle of our cloud products and related services to enable our customers to be successful in their cloud adoption journey
  • Drive the cloud go-to-market strategy to successfully launch new products and lead successful execution across functional teams.
  • Develop positioning and messaging that resonates with customers and partners to drive business capture and thought leadership.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Legal, Finance and other groups to manage the BlackBerry QNX cloud product portfolio from concept to general availability, participating and leading cross-functional initiatives as required
  • Conduct market analysis to identify customer success opportunities using market research, segmentation analysis and 1:1 customer and partner interviews.
  • Assist in the development of cloud business models and modeling to support even greater portfolio investment
  • Prime for Webinars, tradeshows, customer / prospect tours, other outbound events

 

You will have:

  • Bachelors or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical degree or diploma program
  • Significant product management experience related to Automotive electronic systems and/or other mission critical embedded devices
  • Product management experience related to Cloud (AWS, GPC or Azure) products and services
  • Experience leading a product management team
  • Experience in cloud enablement of edge products in IoT
  • Ability to clearly articulate product requirements and prioritize enhancement requests
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, finance and marketing
  • Proven ability to work and engage with world-class engineering talent
  • Demonstrated experience communicating and presenting to C-Suite and technical subject matter experts across an organization
  • Strong technical background to be able to successfully engage with automotive and general embedded customers

 

It would also be great if you have knowledge of embedded OS, Hypervisor and Development tools software and related functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and/or security standards (e.g. ISO 21434) but it's not essential.
