For our expanding international team at Penzberg, Sant Cugat Spain and Indianapolis USA, we are searching for a new colleague (m/f/d) who will support submissions for diagnostics tests and contribute programming to our analysis tools.
As a Biostatistician (m/f/d), you will contribute your profound expertise to complex projects and develop innovative statistical solutions for Roche. Together with your team, you will set new standards in biostatistics and data science to deliver sustainable results for patients worldwide.
Your Key ResponsibilitiesYou are responsible for ensuring statistical analyses are performed and delivered according to project requirements, supporting complex and specialized evaluations.
You contribute to project goals by planning statistical analyses and solving complex requirements through independent programming in statistical software.
You ensure the application of state-of-the-art statistical methods and machine learning within the team, keeping up with current developments to establish them as standards.
You provide technical expertise for internal and external stakeholders, contributing to internal guidelines (e.g., SOPs) and developing standards.
You ensure communication and cooperation with internal contacts and external partners from the pharmaceutical/diagnostic and academic sectors.
You provide technical guidance and mentoring for team members and students, offering expert advice both internally and externally
You hold a Master’s degree (preferably a PhD) in Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, or Computer Science.
You have 5-7 years of professional experience (with a Master’s) or 3-5 years (with a PhD).
You possess deep and broad knowledge in biostatistics and data science, including proficiency in R or SAS programming.
You have proven experience as a responsible project biostatistician, managing all steps from requirement gathering and experimental design to testing and interpreting results.
You are familiar with regulatory requirements for planning and processing clinical studies, ideally you already have practical experience
You are able to explain complex statistical topics in a plain way to your customers
You enjoy presenting and explaining your work to the project team and to stand to your opinion
You appreciate teamwork with scientists from very diverse fields, you are able to consider their needs and to develop solutions together
Your English is fluent, both spoken and written
You have excellent communication skills and embrace the We@RocheDiagnostics mindset.
