Love the science behind drug development and want to be the person who helps us win the work? This is your chance.
We’re looking for a Technical Proposal Manager to join our Business Development team in a US-based, fully remote role. You’ll be the technical voice behind our proposals, working side by side with our Director of Business Development for Biologics & Biomarkers, our territory Directors, and our global sales team to turn complex science into clear, compelling documents that sponsors want to say yes to.
What your days will look like
You’ll partner with Business Development, Contracts Management, Proposal Management, and Financial Management to deliver proposals that are scientifically accurate, polished, and built around what each sponsor actually needs. That could mean executive summaries, study-specific details, operational capabilities, or deep scientific and technical content.
- Draft and shape proposals, RFP responses, and client-specific proposal text that reflects strategy discussions and meets client expectations, working with corporate support on the first draft.
- Team up with operational subject matter experts to make sure every proposal is complete and robust
- Join client calls about RFPs, RFIs, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, and help present proposal solutions
- Support bid defense preparation and meetings
- Participate in Proposal Management initiatives and Business Development presentations, when requested
- Own and refresh our library of technical content, templates, and case studies, keeping tone, format, and brand consistent
- Keep sponsor and account information accurate in our SFDC database
- Track proposal success rates and feedback, then use what you learn to streamline the process
- Step in for the external Business Development team when travel or workload makes client deadlines tight
- Help build and test new tools and processes, lead Lessons Learned meetings, and mentor others
- Act as an expert resource for internal and external customers
What you bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or another STEM field.
- Hands-on knowledge of bioanalytical processes, especially biomarkers, assay technologies, ligand binding assays, immunogenicity, molecular assays, flow cytometry, PCR, and cell-based assays
- Exceptional written and verbal communication
- Experience preparing instructional materials, presentations and written documentation
- Background in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry
- Comfort in a fast-paced matrix organization and experience working with teams across countries and cultures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Fully remote, with possible travel (about once a year) for team or client meetings
Why you’ll love it
You’ll work from anywhere in the US while sitting at the intersection of science, strategy, and client relationships, with real influence on how we win new business.
