A BIM Specialist is recognized as having a basic understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other design software used by Power Design—including, but not limited to, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Bluebeam—with basic proficiency in BIM modeling and model management across Power Design projects.
position details/responsibilities…- In a high-energy, fast-paced environment, work with project teams to draft accurate and cost-effective electrical design plans.Communicate and collaborate with project management and the design team to create high quality drawings that meet project milestones and deliverables.
- Work with and prepare external references (xrefs) such as architectural, mechanical and plumbing drawings for large-scale electrical projects.
- Act as a core technical resource by providing high-level BIM modeling and drafting support to specialized project teams, including Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, System Technologies, and Prefabrication.
- A motivated computer-aided design and drafting modeling program guru who takes the time to do things right and focuses in on what’s important in an ever-changing environment.
- At least two years of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
- A perfectionist who is obsessed with quality and has general electrical knowledge, including an understanding of NEC.
- Experience and knowledge of Mechanical (HVAC) and Plumbing is also a plus
- Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English, as this role requires communication with English-speaking clients and colleagues.
