What we need
Symbotic is seeking a BIM Coordinator (Building Information Modelling) to join our Structure and System Layout team within our Layout Engineering & Continuous Improvement Organization. Your job will be to provide Revit models and drawings of complex steel structures as part of large-scale automation systems within customer Distribution Centers. This opportunity will expose you to a wide variety of engineering teams within our organization as well as customer’s architects, structural engineers, construction leaders and leading-edge technologies in the automation and robotics industries.
What we do
The System Layout Engineering team is part of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Organization, which is responsible for developing the customer’s warehouse layout, facilitating supply chain execution, and delivering world-class support to the installation team. The System Layout Engineering team drives warehouse design excellence through the incorporation of internal and external customer feedback with a consistent focus on reducing costs for both material and project execution lead times.
This position requires on-site presence in our Wilmington, MA headquarters to ensure sufficient collaboration with current team members.
What You’ll Do
Use your Revit expertise to create, manage, and refine BIM models, including complex families, views, browser structures, sheets, schedules, and filters.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project drawing sets - plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules, that clearly communicate design intent.
Ensure all BIM models and documentation accurately represent project designs and align with internal and customer standards.
Conduct quality assurance reviews to verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency across models and drawings.
Collaborate closely with Symbotic engineering teams to coordinate models, drawings, and schedules across multiple disciplines.
Manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving requirements with a positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
What You’ll Need
This position requires on-site presence in our Wilmington, MA headquarters to ensure sufficient collaboration with current team members.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering preferred.
BIM or Revit certification (a plus).
Minimum 2 - 4 years of experience in the building or construction industry.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on Revit experience in 2D and 3D environments.
Working knowledge of structural steel components preferred.
Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Inventor, AutoCAD, and Navisworks; Bluebeam and Revitzo a plus.
Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, shifting priorities as needed to meet project goals.
Comfortable working under time pressure, maintaining accuracy and a positive attitude in changing environments.
Our Environment
Up to 10% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $82,000.00 - $113,300.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.Top Skills
