McClure Engineering is currently seeking BIM Coordinator to work alongside other talented designers dedicated to engineering excellence on a wide range of projects involving complex buildings, data centers and campus systems.? Job Description:
Develop, manage, and coordinate electrical building systems within a Building Information (BIM) Environment. This role supports the design and production of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems while coordinating with designers, drafters, and engineers.
- Create and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems using Revit and related tools.
- Coordinate BIM Models with Mechanical, Plumbing, architectural and structural teams
- Identify and resolve system clashes through coordination meetings and model reviews
- Work closely with electrical engineers, designers and project managers to support design intent
- Maintain alignment with project standards, including model organization and naming conventions
Education and Preferred Qualifications:
Technical or associate's degree from an accredited technical institution or college is required. Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Drafting or Engineering Technology is also acceptable.
- 2+ years’ experience in BIM Coordination, electrical design or MEP Consulting
- Experience working on commercial, healthcare, education, or industrial projects
- Experience in Revit
- Proven ability to read and understand bot 2D and 3D drawings.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Superior communication skills.
The Work Environment:
- Work environment is primarily indoors at firms’ facility, with approximately 10% of time spent indoors/outdoors at project or construction sites where hard-hat and other safety gear is often required. (PPE is provided by firm.)
- While performing field work associated with this position employee will be required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl and carry and/or climb ladders of varying heights.
