The Supervisor supervises, coordinates and directs the daily billing, collections, and denial activities of designated Teams. This position ensures compliant and accurate performance of billing, collection, and denial activities in conjunction with the Billing, Collections & Denial Manager and Senior Management Leadership. This position assists management in maintaining the system, workflows and analysis reporting including the collection and interpretation of patterns to quantify denial causes and their financial impact. They collaborate with other system departments to apprise them of trends and process improvement opportunities, including a focus on preventing future claim denials. The Supervisor prepares strategic plans, oversees quality assurance programs, supervises staff, and ensures regulatory compliance. The primary area of focus for this position is to bring successful closure to accounts receivables.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Supervise and coordinate daily billing activities of designated Billing Teams.
Supervise and direct the daily workflow of billing staff.
Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Perform quality assurance checks and monitors productivity. Provide feedback to staff.
Establish and maintain proficient level of system knowledge
Maintain follow-up procedures and working relationships with area responsible for the information, including Medical Records Department, Patient Access, and/or physicians.
Document activity in an accurate and timely manner on the patient’s account.
Maintain proficiency and level of knowledge with all systems required for task completion.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal billing regulations and reports any suspected compliance issues to your respective Manager and Senior Leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Associate's Degree
Required High School Diploma/GED
5 years Patient Accounting Required
1 year Lead or supervisory experience Preferred
