All About the Role
This role is responsible for driving business development across Greece, Cyprus and Malta, focusing on both expanding relationships with existing clients and hunting for new business. You will convert a strong pipeline of opportunities into revenue across key verticals including Financial Institutions, Fintechs, Acquirers, Retailers, Consumer Goods, the Public Sector, and more.
The key focus of this role is promoting and selling Mastercard Security Solutions-including cyber risk, fraud prevention, identity validation, and enterprise-wide security capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
• Drive business development across Greece, Cyprus and Malta by expanding existing client relationships and hunting for new opportunities.• Convert a strong pipeline into revenue across key verticals, leveraging Mastercard's Security Solutions portfolio.• Partner with the Cyber & Security Sales Lead to unlock new market segments and drive lead generation.• Build strong relationships with mid-to-senior client stakeholders and understand their strategic challenges.• Develop deep expertise in Mastercard Security Solutions and regional cybersecurity trends to shape relevant client offerings.• Collaborate with Consulting, Data & Services and Platform teams to identify and execute cross-sell opportunities.• Prepare clear, compelling and client-ready proposals with limited oversight.• Work closely with local and divisional leadership to align priorities, accelerate deals and drive the Services agenda.
All About You: • Strong academic background; graduate degree preferred.• Experience in professional services, payments, or technology, with proven success in Cyber/Security/Tech sales or business development.• Solid understanding of the competitive landscape and security trends across Greece, Cyprus and Malta.• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, PSD2, NIS2 and DORA.• Excellent analytical skills, including building business cases and evaluating ROI for security initiatives.• Exceptional communication skills in Greek and English; additional languages are a plus.• Strong stakeholder management abilities and comfort working both independently and collaboratively.• High attention to detail, strong prioritization skills, and a growth mindset with interest in emerging technologies.
