The ASO Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing for Administrative Services Only (ASO) accounts. This role involves daily monitoring and management of Workorder Inquiry Tool and Amendment Implementation Manager, as well as completing all monthly billing tasks during the Bill Run (Business Day 1-8). The Bill Run period is critical, requiring strong attention to detail, time management, and flexibility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage Workorder Inquiry Tool (WIT) and Amendment Implementation Manager (AIM) daily

  • Prepare Journal Entries and complete accounting tasks

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues promptly

  • Complete all assigned monthly tasks during Bill Run

  • Validate billing data and ensure compliance with internal controls

  • Complete all assigned tasks accurately and within deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Deposits, Receivables, Regional Group Offices and Under Writers to resolve billing-related inquiries.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding timelines and issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of the Group Benefits business.

  • Proficient in financial reconciliation and advanced spreadsheet skills (including pivot tables and macros), coupled with strong data analysis capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-driven and adaptable, with keen attention to detail and strong follow-through abilities.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to providing positive customer service experience.

  • Proven ability to interact effectively with various levels within the department, showcasing excellent organizational skills.

  • Strong understanding of Sponsor Financial Services (SFS) system feeds and workflows; familiarity and experience in Manuconnect, Clients II, Vitech and Administrative Services Only Billing will be considered an asset.

  • Ability to positively influence and collaborate effectively with team members.

Salary range is expected to be between

$42,825.00 CAD - $71,375.00 CAD
