As a Billing Data Senior Analyst, you will play a critical role in protecting the company’s bottom line. They will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and resolving billing discrepancies between the company and its interconnecting carriers. This role requires a blend of data-driven investigation, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of telecommunications traffic flow.

The ideal candidate enjoys digging into complex datasets to ensure that every dollar spent on network costs is accurate and justified.

Key Responsibilities

  • Audit & Validation: Perform monthly audits of carrier invoices (LNP, Access, Transit, and International) against internal CDRs (Call Detail Records) and contractual rates.
  • Dispute Management: Identify overcharges and initiate formal disputes with vendors. Track disputes through to resolution and ensure credits are accurately applied.
  • Margin Analysis: Monitor network traffic trends and costs to identify margin erosion. Provide actionable insights to the Routing and Engineering teams to optimize cost structures.
  • Data Modeling: Utilize SQL and Excel to build and maintain cost models that forecast future network expenses and track the success of cost-saving initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Legal, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure billing compliance.
  • Reporting: Highlight recovered funds, outstanding disputes, and identify risks for executive leadership.
  • Process Documentation: All tasks assigned need to be documented into process notes and flow charts.
  • Process Unification: Integration of Peerless Cost Assurance Team into Infobip Billing Data Analysis Team.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in Accounting & Finance or Data Analysis, preferably within the Telecommunications industry.
  • Technical Proficiency: * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Power Query) is a minimum requirement. Preferably also has:
    • Strong SQL skills for querying large datasets and performing data reconciliation.
    • Comfortable with MS Power BI
    • Preferably experience with telecom billing systems
  • Analytical Mindset: An obsession with accuracy and the ability to spot patterns or anomalies within millions of rows of data.
  • Communication: Ability to negotiate firmly but professionally with external vendors and translate technical findings into financial impact for internal stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.
