The Bilingual Production Quality Engineer supports Radar manufacturing operations by driving quality performance, leading structured problem-solving activities, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role serves as the primary quality liaison within the Production Center and plays a key role in continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and facilitate structured problem-solving activities (PPS / 8D) with cross-functional teams to address production quality issues.
- Own defect reporting, analysis, and resolution, including root cause identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related topics within the Production Center.
- Monitor, analyze, and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs), including:
- Rework
- First Pass Yield (FPY)
- Daily, weekly, and monthly scrap levels
- Prepare and present quality performance data, trends, risks, and improvement actions to management.
- Participate in Production Center project milestones, ensuring quality requirements and deliverables are met.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, waste, and variation in production processes.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Production Quality Engineering Experience
- Advanced knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and Practical Problem Solving (PPS).
- Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies, including:
- Control Plans
- Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including:
- 5S
- Workplace organization
- Continuous improvement (Kaizen)
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management system.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Skills Required
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Production quality engineering experience
- Advanced knowledge of 8D and Practical Problem Solving methodologies
- Strong understanding of Control Plans, FMEA, and SPC
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, workplace organization, and Kaizen
- Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management system
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- US citizenship
