Bilingual Front Desk / Patient Services Representative

Coastal Health is seeking a friendly, dependable, and bilingual Front Desk/Patient Services Representative to join our Primary Care team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, professional, organized, and enjoys helping patients while working in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Check patients in and out for appointments
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with questions
• Communicate with patients in both English and Spanish
• Collect copays, balances, and other applicable payments
• Obtain and update patient information
• Assist with referrals, medical records, and other administrative duties
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families
• Protect patient privacy and follow HIPAA guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area
• Work closely with clinical staff and providers to ensure smooth daily operations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• Previous medical office or front desk experience preferred
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Professional and positive attitude
• Dependable and able to work well as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Experience with electronic medical records and insurance verification is a plus
