Greenvolt Power Spain is looking for a BESS Project Engineer to join our team. This role will be critical in advancing our technical capabilities and supporting our digital strategy for energy storage systems. You will work closely with the Project Management Office, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams, and other key stakeholders to BESS projects.
Key accountabilities
- Design, evaluation and optimization of battery storage systems (BESS).
- Preparation of technical documentation and drawings (administrative and construction).
- Technical Support / Doc management on project definition with suppliers in Utility-Scale projects
- Definition of basic and detailed engineering
- MV and LV system sizing calculations
- Coordination with other disciplines and with the client and support to the commercial activity for the technical elaboration and analysis of offers.
- Specification of the different types of battery storage systems and definition of operating modes
- Performing sizing and capacity analyses of BESS systems, considering factors such as energy demand, load capacity and battery lifetime
- Dynamic modelling of battery storage systems
- BMS definition for battery storage systems
- Integration of BESS systems in renewable energy projects.
- Grid connection requirements for BESS
- Electrical equipment purchasing specifications.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, Business or related is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in with energy storage systems
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience with metrics creation and data presentation.
- Experience of improving Strong self-management skills
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn and explore new technologies
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
