About the Role


We're looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Benefits Analyst to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you'll oversee the administration, analysis, compliance, and continuous improvement of employee benefit programs, ensuring an exceptional employee experience while supporting organizational goals.


The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with deep benefits expertise, helping drive program effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and cost-efficient solutions. You'll serve as a trusted resource for employees, leaders, and external partners while contributing to strategic benefits initiatives and process enhancements.


What You’ll Do

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, wellness, and voluntary plans.
  • Manage enrollments, life events, eligibility changes, and benefit terminations while ensuring accurate HRIS and vendor system administration.
  • Coordinate annual open enrollment activities, including communications, system testing, employee education, and vendor collaboration.
  • Analyze benefits utilization, enrollment trends, plan performance, and cost data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, presentations, and benchmarking analyses to evaluate program effectiveness and competitiveness.
  • Review and reconcile vendor invoices, eligibility files, and billing reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Support compliance with ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with audits, required filings, regulatory reporting, and the maintenance of plan documentation.
  • Serve as a resource for employee benefit questions, providing guidance on program offerings and eligibility.
  • Develop and maintain employee communications, benefit guides, presentations, and educational materials.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and the employee experience.
  • Participate in HRIS enhancements, benefits system testing, and implementation projects.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in benefits administration, compensation and benefits, or HR programs management.
  • Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and applicable compliance requirements, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory filings, and compliance reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience evaluating utilization data, cost trends, and benchmarking information.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, HRIS systems, and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective relationships with employees, leadership, vendors, and external partners.
  • PHR or SPHR certification is a plus.
