As a Benefit and Leave Administrator on the Total Rewards team, a typical day for you will include:
Program Administration & Open Enrollment: Manage all associate benefit programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, and life insurance. Support the planning and execution of the annual benefits open enrollment.
Data Integrity & Financial Management: Ensure accurate benefits enrollment in the HRIS system by performing regular quality checks and reconciling vendor reports. Manage financial processes including invoice entry, budget tracking, and monthly audits.
Compliance & Employee Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with government regulations and manage timely reporting. Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and associates and develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package.
Process & Resource Management: Oversee the benefit severance process with HRBPs and COBRA administrators. Maintain and update benefit-related resources such as FAQs and intranet content.
Leave of Absence Management: Manage the full life cycle of leave of absence programs—including FMLA, ADA, personal leave, bereavement, jury duty, and workers’ compensation—from initial notice through the return-to-work process. This involves effectively interpreting FMLA and ADA implications , ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations , and communicating leave procedures and required documentation to associates

Experience: A minimum of 4 years of HR and/or prior benefits administration experience required.
Skills:
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas and pivot tables).
Experience with an HRIS/Payroll system (e.g., Workday, ADP) is preferred.
Familiarity with self-funded health plans and HSAs is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on process improvement.
A sense of humor.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field is preferred. PHR, SHRM-CP, or CEBS certification is a plus.
Schedule / in-office requirements: Hybrid working model; Monday-Wednesday in office, Thursday/Friday from home.
