Key responsibilities
- Greeting guests upon arrival with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Offering assistance and providing information about the hotel's facilities and services
- Assisting guests with the transportation of luggage to and from their rooms
- Safely handling and transporting guest belongings with care
- Assisting guests with parking and retrieving their vehicles
- Escorting guests to their rooms and explaining the features of the room and hotel
- Offering assistance with directions and local information
- Monitoring and ensuring the security of the lobby and entrance
- Collaborating with the front desk and other departments to provide seamless service
What you bring
- Fluent in English & Italian is a must
- 2+ years of hospitality experience
- Collaborative and communicates well and accomplish tasks at efficiently
- Must be a natural host and passionate about the hospitality industry in general
- Strong communication and management skills. Communicate with hosts and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner
- Must be able to prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Flexible schedule - long hours and regular evening event coverage is common
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality of guests, employees, and information
- Handles multiple tasks simultaneously, such as assisting guests, managing luggage, and providing information
- Maintains regular attendance in compliance with Aethos Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Comply with Aethos Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maximizes efforts towards productivity, identifies problem areas, and assists in implementing solutions
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times, whilst remaining genuine
