Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assessment of client using VB-MAPP, ABLLS, PEAK, Essentials for Living
  • Conduct Functional Analysis for behaviors
  • Maintain a caseload requirement of twenty-five (25) hours of face-to-face supervision.
  • Maintain a caseload of both daytime and evening hours that will be made up of center based and in-home clients.
  • Creating a treatment plan based off an assessment with appropriate goals being targeted for the child and parent.
  • Provide consultation for any other professionals that may be working with the child as part of their multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure medical records are input within compliance of insurance and Blue Lakes Behavioral Health company policy.
  • Staff training for the required supervision hours per week.
  • Ensuring supervision of 20% per week and parent training hours as required each week.
  • Implement a behavior plan that is based on function of behavior and strategies appropriate for the function of behavior.
  • Supervise prospective practicum students as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Master’s Degree with BCBA certification
  • Effective time management skills and ability to multitask
  • One (1) year of experience working within the Autism Spectrum population preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting standing) for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for periods of time
  • Must be willing and able to implement physical management techniques and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan while working with clients that may have challenging behavior.
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must have a valid Michigan’s Driver’s License
