General Statement:
Under the clinical direction of the Director of Behavioral Supports or designee, the Senior BCBA is responsible for performing functional behavior assessments, developing behavioral interventions, training staff and families to implement the interventions, and ongoing monitoring, training, and adjustment to the intervention based on treatment integrity and client response to treatment. The Senior BCBA may be responsible for some direct implementation of their designed interventions. The Senior BCBA will work with individuals with significant challenging behavior or otherwise more complex, complicated, or difficult clinical situations as determined by Consultative Services leadership. The Senior BCBA will work primarily with adults who have significant challenging behavior with some unique risk of harm to self/others or other complicating factors (e.g., medical comorbidities, history of failed treatment attempts, etc…), but may be assigned to other appropriate adult or child clinical cases for the provision of behavioral support services. The individual functions as a consultant and as part of an interdisciplinary team and services are delivered in a variety of settings including, but not limited to, private homes, adult foster care homes, community, center, etc... The Senior BCBA will have responsibility for direct oversight of behavioral interventions implemented by direct care or technician staff, which may include observation and consultation during second and third shift as needed to appropriately support the consumer. The Senior BCBA may be required to model and/or implement some behavior support services directly for training purposes or to establish instructional control.

Year(s) of Experience
Doctorate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
Two (2) years of experience in ABA or behavioral support service provision with both children and adults, in multiple setting locations, with individuals with varying diagnoses. Must have explicit experience working with individuals with significant behavioral challenges including conducting functional behavior assessments and developing and monitoring behavior support plans. Must be able and willing to provide samples of such work for review.
Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis
Five (5) years of experience in ABA or behavioral support service provision working with individuals with significant behavioral challenges including conducting functional behavior assessments and developing and monitoring behavior support plans. Must have experience working with both children and adults, in multiple setting locations, with individuals with varying diagnoses. Must be able and willing to provide samples of such work for review.
Additional Requirements:
Must have a valid Michigan driver’s license, current automobile insurance, and the use of a vehicle during work hours.
Ability to physically perform the tasks.
Must maintain licensure to retain employment.
Must obtain and maintain MDHHS provider qualifications as a Child Mental Health Professional.
Preferences:
Experience working in adult foster care homes, residential settings, and/or inpatient facilities.

- Position requires the ability to lift up to 35lbs on an occasional basis
- Position requires the ability to regularly stand for extended periods of time
- Position requires the ability to walk at a minimum of 35% up to a maximum of 65%
- Position will require the ability to occasionally stoop, bend, or reach to perform work tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.

Skills Required

- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and five years of ABA or behavioral support experience, including work with significant behavioral challenges, children and adults, multiple settings, varying diagnoses, functional behavior assessments, and behavior support plans.
- Ability and willingness to provide work samples for review.
- Valid Michigan driver's license.
- Current automobile insurance and use of a vehicle during work hours.
- Ability to physically perform the essential job tasks, including lifting up to 35 pounds occasionally and standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and manual dexterity.
