Position: Badging and Access Control Manager

Location: Advocate Corporate - will support IL, WI, and SE sites;

Remote Work w/some travel required to other managed divisions/markets

Full Time; 1st Shift

Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepares activity and progress reports regarding the activities of the Security Technology project management, locksmith, and service sections. 
  • Assists in projecting software and hardware requirements for Security Technology. Assigns personnel to various projects and directs their activities, reviews and evaluates their work, and prepares performance reports. 
  • Focuses on security protection systems for Security Technology. Develops design and scope of work plans accurately estimating tasks and setting budgets. 
  • Leads multiple projects in all aspects of project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, closeout). 
  • Manages review meetings with user committee(s) to assist in establishing project priorities. Guarantees efficient and effective completion of project assignments in accordance with standard procedures. Manages training when applicable. 
  • Assures subordinates time is accurate and recorded properly. 
  • Responsible for full life cycle tracking of Security Technology systems. Coordinates with vendor and IT team members for application updates, server upgrades, firmware upgrades, and equipment replacement. 
  • Follows Security Technology processes in conjunction with Planning Design, and Construction and Capital Administration regarding project bidding, awarding and procurement.  
  • Leads Project Management Teams regarding policy, process and standards.   
  • Works with Security Technology vendors and IT team members to maintain multiyear planning for enterprise applications, version management and to unify both application and installation in relation to key services lines.  

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • None 

Education Required:

  • High school diploma required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience.

Experience Required:

  • Combination of at least 8 years Project Management, Information Technology, Leadership and/or Physical Security integrations. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and training software platforms. 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. This position is subject to high-level visibility through verbal and written communications with senior hospital management, associated project deadlines, personnel evaluation, and counseling. Must be available for on-call support on a regular basis. Must be able to work overtime as needed. 

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Certified Physical Security Professional, Certified Protection Professional and/or Information Technology certifications preferred.
