We’re looking for a backend engineer who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys building robust systems end-to-end. You’ll work across data pipelines, APIs and infrastructure, ensuring our platform runs efficiently and scales cleanly as we grow.
Your role
Develop and maintain backend features and APIs for our core platform
Improve database performance, reliability and real-time data processing
Debug, profile and optimise code to keep latency low and systems stable
Collaborate with AI, frontend and product teams to integrate new capabilities
Contribute to architectural decisions and shape the evolution of our backend stack
You are
3–5 years’ experience building production-grade backends (Python is a must; additional experience in Go, C++, or Java is valuable)
Solid in SQL and data modelling (PostgreSQL or similar)
Experienced with REST APIs and cloud environments (AWS preferred)
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of a problem
Startup mindset — quick to ship, focused on quality, allergic to bureaucracy
Nice to have
Linux debugging and performance tuning
Familiarity with orchestration (Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible)
Experience with data pipelines or analytical databases
Interest in edge/cloud hybrid architectures
